YOUR WEDDING IN ANDALUCIA 

Have you noticed that when you put the word 'wedding' in front of flowers, meals etc the price usually doubles or triples....not at Brazos Abiertos. We pride ourselve on offering you a fabulous wedding at a sensible cost. We have the perfect wedding venue, one that offers you spectacular views, where everything is planned for you from start to finish and all you have to do is come and enjoy your special day.

We can offer Catholic Church Services, Anglican or Catholic Blessings, non religious ceremonies with a Humanist Minister and Gay Wedding Blessings

We have planned a very exciting three day event for our couples. You can extend this, by adding days either side of the wedding, for a holiday. Our aim is to ensure that you have a fabulous wedding, knowing exactly what the costs are, with no hidden extras and more importantly, we will make sure that any stress is ours, not yours.

If you prefer to design your own schedule we are happy to arrange this for you.

Planning Visit

You will naturally want to see the venue and discuss your plans, no problem, we can offer 2 nights free accommodation for two people for your planning visit. At all other times we are more than happy to discuss your ideas, enquiries by email or phone.

Getting Married in Spain

Unless you are a Spanish citizen or full time Spanish resident, you cannot have a legal civil marriage in Spain.

What are your options?

NON RESIDENTS

A civil ceremony in your country of origin, followed by a wedding blessing ceremony at Brazos Abiertos or the village church in Iznajar. You will still be able to make your vows to eah other and in essence it is a 'wedding ceremony'.

A Roman Catholic Church wedding, providing you are both Roman Catholic. You will need permission from your local parish priest and a dispensation from the Bishop in Malaga. The process for a Catholic wedding requires very strict paperwork and can take more than a year to obtain. There a stunning church in Iznajar with an 8th Century Golden Altar which is perfect for your Spanish wedding

RESIDENTS

A civil wedding at the town hall or conducted by the Mayor on the terrace of Brazos Abiertos, followed by a Wedding Blessing.

The easiest process is for the couple to have a simple legal service in their home country and then, a belssing in Spain. The blessing service can follow the same format as a service and couples can make their own vows. If the service is presided over by a Spanish speaker, we will provide a translator
